Deadline Extension by a week...

Hi, I would like to ask for an extension on the deadline by a week. The reason I am asking is because I have been working on an entry tirelessly for awhile and my system just went down with my project in it. I don't see me being able to work on the final touches of the entry until I bring my system up and running again. Please allow some extra time if possible.... Respectfully submitted.... John

    I had a similar problem but instead my pc got infected and i am unable to access the files it changed the folders into a sort of exe. So If you guys would allow please take me into consideration as well

    Hey John and Nicks707,

    I wish that I could offer you an extension, but unfortunately we cannot. The contest is governed by the rules, and the dates set forth in those must stand.

    I encourage you to keep working on your games, though, and to contact me when they're done. We're always looking for great apps and games to demonstrate at various trade shows and marketing events, so do keep in touch.

    Was in the middle of putting final touches of entry then it went blank at the deadline. So no submission or what else?

    The system automatically stopped accepting submissions at 5pm today. I wish that you had gotten your submission in before the deadline. The contest was open for over 4 months, since March 17th - we tried to give everyone plenty of time, and as you saw by the frequent updates, plenty of notice that the deadline was today at 5pm Pacific Time.

    well are you interested in holding a good competition for most participation or are you interested in enforcing arbitrary rules. The Samsung Tizen competition had a common sense deadline extension due to unforeseen issues. What is this? A tyranny of arbitrary rules, haha

    Yeah exactly my thoughts too. Nevertheless having more apps benefits the organizers too as they have more cool apps from the competition to showcase and judge.

    Sorry to hear this. Too bad we get to know about this contest way too late. Otherwise we can port more of our multi-screen apps/games over. Looking forward to partnering opportunity in the future.
